First of all, each sump is built according to the customer's
specifications. I can help in the design process if you need
help. Be sure to include things I would need to know like
outside dimensions, equipment to be used, and any special
features you would like included. Upon the customer's
approval of the final workup, we will discuss cost and
payment, and I will begin construction.
Q. How long does it take you to make a sump?
A. Every sump is different. Usually it takes me about 2 weeks
from start to finish to complete an order.
Q. What shipping methods do you use?
A. I can use whatever method you prefer. If you do not
specify a carrier, I will use FedEx. All of the sumps are
placed in double wall boxes and packed with Styrofoam©
peanuts, bubble wrap, extra cardboard, and anything else I
can put in the box to help protect it.
Q. How much does a sump cost?
A. Since I build to suit, each order can vary in cost. I base
quotes on size alone. Small sumps start out right at $200
and go up from there. More complicated orders and/or
over-sized sumps will naturally cost more.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. My preferred method of payment is Paypal. I can
accommodate other methods if need be. My Paypal address
is PayPal@acrylicsumps.com
Q. What materials do you use in constructing a sump?
A. I use Acrylite© acrylic bonded with Weldon© where
needed. I can purchase the acrylic in just about any color or
finish you desire. Also, I can go as far as having it
professionally engraved.
Q. How strong can acrylic be, and is it stronger than glass?
A. Acrylic is up to 100 times stronger than all glass of the
same thickness. I use the appropriate thickness depending
on your application.
